K-1 Recount

Here's my recount on our visit to K-1. Enjoy:
On May 8th 2018 the Grade 5C went back to K-1 for
a period to experience the differences between K-1 and Grade 5.
We tried out multiple activities we haven’t done in 5 years.

I was really surprised that we had to act like 5&6 year olds.
I didn’t really like it since I don’t like to be treated like a young
child. But it was still a bit fun. There was plenty of laughter
mostly because of how funny it was and how ridiculous it was.

The first activity we did was “Open, Shut them” Which is
basically a singing activity with hand gestures. Then we did a
‘Math’ activity in which Ms. Angela read a story called “Who sank
the boat?”By Pamela Allen. We acted the
whole story out.

After that we had to take a picture of 10 things in the room.
A lot of people chose to take pictures of the screws and bolts, while
others took pictures of the wood equipment that was in the class.

Overall I really enjoyed the activities since it was things that
none of us have done for quite a while.

The performance

This response is to the Grade 4 and 5 instrumental and vocal performance.
One thing I did well in the writing was describe things.
One thing I would change was that I would make a response to the whole performance.
The Performance.

The Grade 4&5 concert is hosted in the centre for the arts in UNIS Hanoi. The Grade 4&5s perform their knowledge of instrumental and vocal music. The students perform after each other for an hour. I think that most of the performances that I performed in is uneventful.

The Grade 5 band is the opening for the concert. Students play an instrument from the following:
  • Flute
  • Clarinet
  • Oboe
  • Alto saxophone
  • Trumpet
  • Trombone
  • Percussion
I am playing the Alto saxophone, so is Benjamin, Dylan, Graham and Sander. I think that it is pretty uneventful since the songs we play are very simple.

Then comes the advanced band, the people playing in it are: Me, Phuong anh, Benjamin, Yuyao, Yuyang, Jonatan, Jonathan and Amaya. The instruments they play are: (In the same order) Alto saxophone, Oboe, Alto Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trumpet and last but not least Clarinet. We played Believe from the Polar Express and You’ve got a friend in me from Toy Story. I overly enjoy it since it isn’t too simple and it is  exciting. P.S. Amaya is in 4th grade.

In choir we sang the following songs:
  • Hold Back The River by James Bay.
  • On Top Of The World by Imagine Dragons.
  • Have you ever seen the rain by  Creedence Clearwater Revival.
These songs we have sang immense amounts of times so it was immensely uneventful so that part of the performance is just dull.(for the performers.)

I  think that most of the performances that I performed in was uneventful ‘cause it was either too easy for me or I’ve sang it thousands of times.

My discussion

This is my discussion, Hope you enjoy:
Would you rather have a dog or a cat?

Dogs and cats are the most popular pets in the world, this is because they are loved for their cuteness and how affectionate they are towards you. When people chose a pet often they can’t decide between a dog or a cat.

Dogs are much more energetic than cats and they live for an almost same amount of time,  this is good because if you’re staying in a country for approximately 15 years then it is better to buy a dog than a cat(have to keep it healthy.). They also are much more affected towards you since whenever you come home(ex. From school) they are excruciatingly happy and will greet you as if he/she hasn’t seen you in 10 years and they (most likely) will want to play with you or go for a walk.

Since dogs are so affectionate towards you they will come back to you/you’re house/apartment, if while you’re taking them for a walk they run away/they chase something(majority). They are also by far better to play with than cats because of their energy and their emotions towards you.(If you treat them well in the first place.)

However cats are much easier to handle and for this reason are better if you’re living in a small closed area without a garden.

Also cats will scare away all mice/rats from the house(it is likely that they will even eat/kill it) Also they are much more independent so you don’t need to bathe them .

I however think that dogs are better ‘cause love playing with you at almost any time.

Le description physique

In french class we had to do a writing assignment about the description of our family. It had to be at least 150 words. (approximately was good enough.)

The most challenging thing was that a lot of the words i used I didn't know in which order I should put them in my sentence.

I was successful when I completed my check-list.
